Strawberry Nutrition Strawberry nutrition provides a rich source of phenols and are an excellent source of vitamin C.

  • Strawberries are rich in phenols and particularly a class of phenols called anthocyanins. The anthocyanins in strawberries give the fruit its red colour and acts as a powerful antioxidant that protect the bodies' cells from free radical damage.

  • Strawberry nutrition is an excellent source of vitamin C which protects the cells and tissues from free radical damage, thereby helping to prevent cancer. Vitamin C also helps with dietary iron absorption.

  • Strawberries are also a very good source of manganese which plays a part in bone health and helps to maintain normal blood sugar levels. Manganese also helps the thyroid gland to function properly and protects the cells from free radical damage.
