Starfruit Nutrition

Starfruit Nutrition *The starfruit is a good source of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and vitamin C.

  • Starfruit nutrition is a very good source of vitamin B5 which helps to turn carbohydrates and fats into energy. B5 also plays a part in the health of your adrenal glands.

  • Starfruits are also a good source of vitamin C which helps to prevent tissues and cells from free radical damage, which helps to prevent cancer. Vitamin C also aids dietary iron absorption.

  • Containing a fairly good amount of potassium, starfruit nutrition can help the nerves and muscles to function and also maintains the bodies' acid balance. Potassium also helps to lower the risk of high blood pressure.

    * A small percentage of people should be aware that the starfruit contains oxalic acid which can be detrimental to people with kidney problems.

  • One starfruit contains around 28 calories.
